Around 20 million flowers and 2 million plants are auctioned every day at the Flower Auction in Aalsmeer. Automation is playing an increasingly important role in this process. The internal ICT department was no longer able to meet the growing demands for stability and fl exibility. It therefore looked for assistance, not from a supplier but from a partner that could understand the ICT and the business needs of the organisation. They asked Telindus to become its supplier for network support. Telindus will also replace the entire network infrastructure in the future. This will result in a bigger capacity and new functionality in the network. This means the Flower Auction of Aalsmeer will also be able to modernise its telephone system.
